Added to the notebook today:
- Nothing!
- Warm up: Joe is doing a science fair experiment that involves testing the affect of milk on plants. In his lab notebook, under "observations", Joe writes "Plant A is dying". What is wrong with what Joe has done, and how can he improve the detail and accuracy of his "observation"
- Science Fair Proposals
- Homework: See important dates below
Friday, September 17: Science Fair Proposal form signed and approval due*
Monday, September 20: Egg drop and field journal due
Wednesday, September 22: Unit Test and Notebook Check
Friday, September 24: Rough Draft of Science Fair Research paper & bibliography due (typed)*
* I encourage students to get this out of the way early- due dates are such as they are so that students can begin long-term science fair experiments if necessary. I will take any of this work early. Just so parents are aware, it is not my general habit to have so many due dates at once. Fitting the science fair in this year will take a little squishing, but this really should be the worst of it.
NOTE TO PARENTS: for students with last names A-L, today I will be handed out invitations to EP update meetings. Please get those back to me as soon as possible
