- Students perform alternative assessment. For parents, an alternative assessment is like a test, but we do things a little differently. The students were introduced to the questions on Wednesday, and allowed to prepare for 2 days. Questions were not just questions, but tasks that they would have to complete. I allowed them to prepare, so in this way they were allowed to focus on what they wanted to accomplish and get started as soon as they sat down on Friday. they were given the rubric and asked to grade themselves.
